The Saginaw Valley Police Canine Association and BlueLine Police K-9 is pleased to bring back police K-9 demonstrations to the Dog Bowl. Join Saginaw Police Officer Doug Stacer, his partner K9 Canjo, retired Detroit Police Officer John Skalski, his K9 partner Tarzan and Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Craig Pesko with his K9 partner Brig as they demonstrate the exciting world of police K9’s. Demonstrations consist of narcotics detection, handler protection and criminal apprehension. The officers will talk about the different training these working dogs have and will give you an inside look at the daily life of a working police K9.
The SVPCA provides funding for law enforcement K9’s in Saginaw County. Established in 2012, the SVPCA has covered all expenses incurred by the Saginaw Police K9 program since 2013. For more information on the SVPCA and the officers they support, visit www.MiK9Cop.com.
